St.Peter's Engineering College, an ISO 9001:2000 certified and AICTE accredited educational institution, is run by St.Joseph Educational Trust. It was started in the year 1993-1994. The college is ideally located in the serene surroundings of Avadi, Chennai. The main goal of the institution is to impart value oriented technical education and to include a sense of discipline and humanitarian culture to mould the youth for the future.

DEPARTMENT OF BIOTECHNOLOGY

Our college was the pioneer in introducing B.Tech degree in the field of Industrial Biotechnology in the year 2001-2002. Our Department holds a premier place with well-equipped laboratories including various imported hi-tech equipments and excellent infrastructure. We have a team of experienced faculty with varied field of specializations, who help our department to grow from strength to strength.

Our Department has produced exemplary academic results with many students achieving distinctions and first class. Our students have achieved laurels in various co-curricular and extra curricular activities at various levels.
